Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge have the best support for Web Speech API. Safari has partial support. Firefox does not support it yet.
Is my voice data secure?▼
The speech recognition uses your browser's built-in API. Audio is processed by Google/Microsoft servers for recognition but is not stored permanently. The transcribed text stays in your browser only.
Why is it not recognizing my speech?▼
Make sure: 1) You allowed microphone permission 2) Your mic is working 3) You selected the correct language 4) Speak clearly and not too fast 5) Reduce background noise.
Can I use this on mobile?▼
Yes! It works on Chrome for Android. On iPhone, Safari has limited support. For best results, use Chrome browser on any device.
What is Continuous Mode?▼
Continuous mode keeps listening even after you pause speaking. Without it, recording stops after each sentence. Enable it for long dictations.
Can I edit the text after transcription?▼
Yes! The output text area is fully editable. You can also use UPPER, lower, Title case buttons, or manually correct any mistakes.
